Mindful in May

On one side of the world, 1 in 9 people don’t have access to clean water. On the other side of the world, people have everything they need but are too busy to truly enjoy it. It takes just 10 minutes to bring more focus and effectiveness into your life. Mindful in May is an amazing charity created to bring help to those in need whilst doing something important for ourselves.
We live in an extremely fast paced world where we there is a never
ending list of things to do running around in our minds. It is unusual for us to stop and take just 10 minutes to be still.
Mindfulness meditation is an amazing skill that can be used each day to help our minds keep up with the complexity of our modern world.
As stated by Mindful in May, there is now compelling evidence supporting the fact that mindfulness meditation when practised regularly, can lead to:
- Structural changes in the brain associated with enhanced mental performance
- Reduced stress and it’s negative impact on the body and mind
- Improved physical and mental well being
- Reduced genetic ageing through it’s protective impact on gene expression and degeneration
- Increased happiness.
- Enhanced immune function
