Steph’s Acai Bowl

Makes 2 small Acai bowls or one large bowl

Smoothie Mixture:

  • 2 X frozen bananas – chopped
  • 1 Cup of frozen mixed berries
  • 1-2 tablespoon of Acai powder – we love “Loving earth”
  • 1-2 tablespoon of Gelatin powder  “Great Lakes”
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • Ice – optional
  • Coconut/almond milk/Coconut water: enough liquid to blend into a thick mixture ½ – ¾ cup approximately depending on your blender. We love “Nutty Bruce” Nut milks

Method

Blend all ingredients well into a thick mixture. Add more liquid if blender needs. Place in a bowl and top with below ingredients or other seasonal fruits, nuts and seeds.

Toppings

  • Chopped banana
  • Chopped strawberries
  • Coconut flakes
  • Gluten free granola
  • 1-2 tablespoons of almond butter
